  1. Hi there,

My name is Kieran Maxwell. Over the last year I’ve developed a growing appreciation for the Latin mass! I’ve only attended 5 or 6 times in this period and I’m a complete novice as to what is expected during the mass. That said I know that there is something extraordinary happening! There is something ancient and true and beautiful about it! Something I do not experience with the Novus Ordo.

So I’m still feeling my way!

    To my question then:
I was at the Latin Mass on Sunday past, (19th of May), I had brought a friend with me who had never experienced the Latin mass before! I had told him of the solemnity of the TLM and how different and beautiful it is! However on Sunday it appears to me, correct me if I’m wrong please, that we celebrated the “low mass” and not the “High mass” that I’d attended on previous occasions!

Can anyone tell me why it was a Low mass and not high mass please? And also when the next High mass will be celebrated as I’d like to return with my friend so we can both attend together!

    Many thanks.
    Kieran Maxwell

    1. Hi Kieran,

      Apologies for the late reply.
Every Sunday in the New Church at fort William and Macroy will be a High Mass.
