IMMACULATE HEART BULLETIN TWENTIETH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST

Dear Friends of the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary,

In order to comply with current social distancing regulations, we will celebrate three Masses on Sundays at the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. These Masses will be at 8 am, 11 am, and 6 pm. (The weekday schedule remains unchanged.) As attendance at the 11 am Sunday Mass has already reached the maximum allowed in the church, I encourage those who can to attend either the 8 am or the 6 pm Mass. Complying with the social distancing regulations is a condition for keeping the church open. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

We are happy to have Canon Lebocq among us today for the feast of All Saints. It is both comforting and encouraging for us to realize that there are innumerable souls who have gone before us and are now praying for us in heaven.

Thank you for your generosity for the seminarians. Last week we raised over £1200 towards the material support of your future priests. Thank you as well for your generosity towards the cctv project. The cameras should be installed this week. To contribute to this project please write “cctv” on your donation.

Monday, 2nd November, is All Souls Day. There will be three Masses: 8 am Low Mass, 12 am Low Mass, and 7 pm Sung Mass. A plenary indulgence for the holy souls can be gained by praying for the faithful departed in any cemetery from 1st – 8th November. The Holy Father has granted to all the faithful the faculty to transfer these days to any eight days in November.

Each Wednesday in November we will have a Requiem Mass for a special intention. This Wednesday, 4th November the Mass will be offered for the deceased members of the Institute of Christ the King.

Be sure to visit the Holy Souls Shrine in the back of the Church, and fill in your intentions for the November List of the Dead. These intentions will be remembered in a Novena of Masses from the 22nd – 30th November.

This Friday is First Friday and the feast All Saints of Ireland. The Sacred Heart Devotions will take place after Mass. Saturday is First Saturday. There will be an 8 am Low Mass and an 11 am Sung Mass followed by Benediction. This Mass will be offered for the benefactors of the Church of the Immaculate Heart.

Wishing you a blessed week,

Canon Heppelle
