As noted in an earlier post, we celebrated a special Mass for life at St Mary’s, Chapel Lane, on Tuesday 30th October. Following the recent opening of the first private abortion facility in Belfast, we were moved to organise this special Mass offered for the intention of promoting the dignity of human life and for an end to the misery of abortion.

In addition to occasional special Masses, there is a regular celebration of Mass in the Extraordinary Form on the first Sunday of each month in St Paul’s Church on the Falls Road at 2.30pm. It’s a great opportunity to discover the traditional Latin Mass and to experience our Catholic heritage. All are very welcome.

On a pleasant late summer (or early autumn) evening, the feast of the Triumph of the Cross was celebrated with a Missa Cantata at St Therese Church on the Somerton Road.
Mass is celebrated beneath the fine east window depicting the Nativity.
Acolytes and thurifer flank the celebrant during the proclamation of the Gospel.
